Menus

After you import the options successfully and the pages as well, Now its time to Create the menus, Cuz if you don't nothing would work properly.

Since there is no way for wordpress to export the menus, I'll let you know what you should do.

The theme supports 2 menus locations, Header and footer.

The header menu will include the pages you want, and the theme will automatticaly understand if the menu exists as a block on the homepage, If it does then it will scroll down to the block when clicked otherwise the page will open. But what about the "Home" Menu, Thats the only custom link you will create for your menu,

Create a custom link and call it "Home" and give it the link of "#top".

Sliders

Well, since you wont actually need the slider we made, You will just create your own slider using one of the provided plugins and then go to the theme options and open the Home Settings tab and choose your homepage slider.

DummyData

Too lazy too add your own content to try the theme, Here are some xml files to bring you the posts you need, But keep in mind that this wont include images, So don't forget to add some thumbs for the posts, cuz if you don't some parts of the theme wont appear correctly.

  1. Posts: http://m.elgendy.me/justone-posts.xml
  2. Portfolio: http://m.elgendy.me/justone-portfolio.xml
  3. Staff: http://m.elgendy.me/justone-staff.xml
  4. Customers: http://m.elgendy.me/justone-customers.xml

Just import them.

Only for users who uses permalinks: After finishing all the steps above, You will have to open your permalinks page and all your links will be reflushed

Justone comes with three headers, i will explain what each header requires you to do so it would dispaly the correct way.

Header 1

This is the basic header, It shows the menu and the slider above it (only if you choose a slider from the theme options).

You can choose your slider from the theme options menu on the home settings tab

Header 2

This header comes with menu and icons with each link and then the slideshow.

How to add icons to menu items?

  1. Go to your Appearance > menus
  2. On the top right side of the page click on the "Screen Options" button.
  3. You will see a checkbox called "CSS Classes" Under the title "Show advanced menu properties", Check it.
  4. Now at the menus , On each link you will see a new field added called "CSS Classes (optional)", You will put the icon class on that field, (the icon class should be the first class incase you want to add other classes)

All the menu items should include a icon incase you use "Header 2".

Header 3

Includes a logo, Site title and then the menu, If you navigate to the tab "Style/Layout Options" from your "Theme Options" you will see options for the third header, Use these options to make that header work properly.

Text Pages

Our Default template for pages is using the "Visual Composer". So incase you want to create a page with just some text. You will have to choose "Custom Text Page" Template Under the "Page Attribuites" metabox as showing below.

Visual Composer

One of the key majors for Justone theme is using the Visual Compser.

Using VC almost allows you to create any page or template you are looking for. Whats even better is that the content isn't typed manually. Its dynamically loaded from post types by wordpress. So incase you want to bring some of your clients testimonails you wont by typing it while creating the page. You will just choose the VC element "(Customers) Testimonials" and start adding testimonials into the customers post type.

Check out this video to learn how to work with visual composer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmqSu_TErsE

Fluid layouts

Incase you want to create a fluid layout pretty much like this one: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/home

1. You will first need to choose the template for the page to be "Fluid Layout"

2. Click on the visual composer button to start creating rows and adding content to it

3. Then Click on "Add Row" then manage each row by clicking on the small pen icon which is on the top right side of the row.

4. After you finish adding your rows and elements to it. Preview the page and see how wonderful things are.

Setting it up

Go to your theme options in the WP-Admin and open the blog tab, and select the page which will be associated under the settings item "Section Page", After you choose that. Open the pages and open the page you choosed for either the blog or the portfolio, And choose the correct template for the section from "Template" Under the "Page Attributes" Metabox.

Nothing awesome more than having a chance to create unlimited sidebars and managing where to show specific sidebars in specific pages.

Controlling Sidebars

Check out this figure to explain how to use our simple control panel for managing sidebars.

Using Sidebars

Navigate to "Appearance > Widgets" There you will find on the right side of the panel blocks for each sidebar you created.

Follow this link for more information in how to use Wordpress Widgets http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Widgets.

Lets say you want to create a page and use a specific sidebar for that page.

  1. Navigate to "Pages > Add New".
  2. You will find a metabox called "Sidebar" Choose your sidebar and its position from that metabox then save the page.

Also if you navigate to the theme settings page you will find in the layout settings a selectbox where you can choose the default sidebar for all pages.

When creating a contact us block, and add the "Contact form" element using the visual composer, and you can even add maps and custom html aswell, its a fully customized page, you will have to create the page and use the metabox "Contact Info" and enter your email.

Follow these steps to create your menus.

  1. Go to "Apperance > Menus".
  2. Click on the "+" Button to start creating your menu.
  3. Give it a name and then add pages or categories or custom urls to the menu.
  4. then click save
  5. Choose your desired menus from the metabox "Theme Locations"

Justone theme supports 2 locations for menus

  1. Header Menu < The header menu which exists in all headers
  2. Footer Menu < The footer menu.

For further information about working with menus follow this link http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide

Justone theme comes with lots of icons you can use with the visual composer elements.

Visual Composer

It comes with several elements that supports icons, For any elemnt that supports icons, you will see a field called "Icon Class" You will paste the icon class you would want to use.

You can find the list of icon's stocks into the tab "Icons" from the "Theme Options" page.

Posts

When writing an article you may want to add an icon beside a headline, you can simple use this shortcode to achive this need.

1
[icon class="replace_with_class_icon"]

Simply use the shortcode above and replace whats between the quotes with the class name you want.

Justone theme supports sliders into any page and even posts.

We support the following sliders

  1. Layer Slider
  2. Slider Revolution
  3. WooSlider

Each one links to its documentation.

You can find docs for Layer Slider by click on the help button on the plugin admin page
